Cemex, a heavy building materials company focused on—Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates, and Urbanization Solutions wanted to purchase a replacement control booth for the controller in charge of managing the rock quarry. This particular control booth would be placed approximately 30ft up in the air on a platform in an area of the United States that deals with hurricane threats every year. They decided to go with our prefabricated aluminum control booth because we are the only aluminum booth company that can manufacture a booth that can meet 175mph hurricane wind speed requirements. This particular control booth, also known as operator booth is custom-sized at 7’9 x 7’9 to fit the existing platform. Options included were hurricane impact resistant sliding windows, wall-mounted heating & cooling unit, stainless steel interior workstation, non-skid aluminum treadplate floor, & pre-wired electrical package. They used a crane and lifted it onto the platform. The anchoring of the control booth was designed specifically to be mounted to the existing platform.
